The West Florida Genealogical Society, Inc. 

The West Florida Genealogical Society, Inc. (WFGS) was formed in May 1982 as a not-for-profit educational organization. It serves members residing in the western panhandle of Florida and southern Alabama, the area historically known as West Florida. The purpose of the organization is to bring members and others together who are interested in genealogy and family history. The Society promotes genealogical research through conferences, workshops, programs, and other related activities to educate and assist members of the Society and the community in their genealogical interests.

The Computer Interest Group (CIG) of the WFGS was formed as a special interest of members involved in using and learning about technology in the pursuit of genealogical research. This group is actively involved in offering technical programs and discussions.

Meetings of the Computer Interest Group (CIG) are held:

When: Third Saturday of each month
Where: Bayview Sr Citizens Center
2000 East Lloyd Street
(20th & Lloyd Streets)
Pensacola, Florida 32503
Time: Meetings begin at 9:30 a.m.
Topic: Topics consist of programs targeted to those interested in computer genealogy. Membership is not required and the public is welcome.
